LEDs may seem like new technology, but it's been a work in progress for over a hundred years. Many people have contributed to scientific advances that have gradually paved the way for LEDs by transforming light-emitting diodes into a light bulb that can reproduce a range of colors and lumen levels, from a subtle green glow to candlelight to natural sunlight.
The word LED is used as an abbreviation for Light Emitting Diode. It can be translated as Light Emitting Diode in our language. It is the last of the artificial light sources to be found. The fact that it creates light with a different method than the light emitted by bulbs or fluorescents and some of its advantages have made LEDs one of the most important issues in today's lighting industry, therefore Europe and Russia use only LEDs.
